The name Wimpenny has been synonymous with quality construction in the Yorkshire region for over 135 years and is associated with many of the landmark buildings in Huddersfield, Halifax, Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, York, Manchester and many other northern cities.

 

The family’s roots in civil engineering and construction date back to 1884 when Joseph Wimpenny diversified from farming to service the building needs of Huddersfield’s industrial revolution with the burgeoning textile and engineering industries.
